Petitions – Stop Gender/Age Discrimination In The Borders, Immigration & Citizenship Bill!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions | Monday 14 December 2009 8:26 pm

The Borders, Immigration & Citizenship Bill requires all those born abroad to a UK mother prior to 1983 to register with the UKBA and pay an exorbitant fee (presently in excess of £500) before they can apply for a UK passport. Anyone born in the same circumstances after 1983 or at anytime to a UK father can simply complete a passport application without the need to register. The registration/fee is required regardless of country of residence so that even someone who has lived in the UK for most of their lives, is a taxpayer, a home owner and has known no other country, still has to register and pay the fee.

I was asked by a friend on Twitter if I could sign the mentioned petition and I gladly obliged as this is just so wrong! This is what he said to me, “I have to register & pay £540 to claim my British citizenship by descent. If my Father was British I could claim without paying the registration fee! Frown

Petitions – Abolish Regional Assemblies And Create An English Parliament!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions | Monday 14 December 2009 8:25 pm

Regional assemblies are costly and UNELECTED. The money would be better invested in a parliament for England and see an end to Scottish MPs having a say in English matters. English issues should be dealt with by an English parliament. The people of England should not be discriminated against. There should be an end to the Barnett Formula.

Petitions – Reinstate The Treason Act!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions | Monday 14 December 2009 8:16 pm

The Treason Act needs to be reintroduced and amended to prevent religious and political extremism both home grown and perpetrated by foreign nationals; this includes preachers of hate waving placards with slogans intended to incite racial hatred, including English citizens that condone terrorist acts or acts of subjugation against England, the English flag and the English people. Example: it is a federal offence in America to burn the stars and stripes. This should be the case for the St George cross. Anyone who aids and abets extremist individuals or groups that intend to do harm to England or its people, must be subject to the full rigours of the law.

Petitions – Campaign Against Political Correctness (UK)!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions | Monday 14 December 2009 8:10 pm

What’s wrong with Political Correctness? Well I will let the Campaign Against Political Correctness answer that one for me!

“Basically it’s a form of censorship and tries to bully people into conforming with a certain point of view which usually defies common sense.

It is only actually pushed by a few people and it is very difficult to find many people who agree with it.

It means that those spouting political correctness assume that they have the right to give opinions for people they perceive to be from “minorities” without usually first consulting the people they purport to speak for. e.g. people say that you should not use the term “Brainstorming” as it could be offensive to people with epilepsy. Epilepsy Action, however, say, “We are often asked about the word ‘brainstorming’ and whether its use is acceptable. If the word is being used to describe a meeting where participants are suggesting ideas, then its use is not offensive to people with epilepsy.” See also the stories and views people have sent us and the Not In My Name Campaign on this website for further examples of people using political correctness where it was not asked for, not needed and certainly not wanted.

It undermines personal responsibility and freedom.

Some people who go along with it only do so as they think they have to – they do not necessarily agree.

It is more divisive than harmonious.

You can’t categorise whole groups of people, treat them differently based on that grouping and then expect them to integrate happily after that.

It is stifling debate on some absolutely key issues affecting this country and this is why we really do have to do something now before it is too late.”

Petitions – Provide The Ethnic English With A Tick-Box In The 2011 Census Form!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions | Monday 14 December 2009 8:08 pm

E – mail the Government @ census.customerservices@ons.gsi.gov.uk with the following information (add your own words to it if you wish or write it completely different but keep it civil and to the point!). Put “Ethnic English Deserve The Same Rights” or something similar in the subject bar.

“The ONS in dealing with the English in England in the draft 2011 census form seems to be confusing ‘national identity’ with ‘ethnic identity’.

This is a serious matter as unless the ethnic English have the same statistical information available to them as is available to other ethnic groups, the English will be hindered in their attempts to challenge and end the institutionalised and other forms of racism perpetuated against them.

The immediate and most obvious form of institutionalised discrimination is the failure of the British state and its institutions to recognise the existence of the ethnic English and to collect information that will help the group fight the discrimination it is subject to on a daily basis.

It is because the ethnic English are not recognised as such by the census forms that we do not appear on so-called ethnic monitoring forms. It is due to the failings of the ONS that the ethnic English are statistically invisible.

The above represents a potential tragedy in the making for the ethnic English. It should be a priority for the ONS to rectify the situation by providing the ethnic English with a single section for ethnic English alone with usual tick-box in the 2011 census form.”

Petitions – Soldiers Off The Street!

Posted by Frank Parker | Petitions,Totally Frank | Monday 14 December 2009 6:25 pm

With the ever growing number of forgotten ex service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness it is time for the government to step in and help. We all think they deserve better after going through the traumatic experience of war.

The Soldiers Off The Street Organisation have come up with one solution with the following:

RAF Sealand:

RAF Sealand is a former Royal Air Force station in Flintshire, north Wales. Under defence cuts announced in 2004 RAF Sealand was completely closed in April 2006.

There are probably many places within the United Kingdom closed down and empty but lets start with RAF Sealand!

RAF Sealand is not derelict and has all the facilities to offer the best treatment in line with the Military Covenant that the government should honour with all ex service personnel.

RAF Sealand could open in a very short time to accommodate homeless ex service personnel many with alcoholic and Drug addiction with many of them with mental health problems brought on by wars that the government has sent them to.
